By understanding the previous issues and worries with their visit furniture, we were able to improve prisoner, staff and visitor safety with our Ryno furniture range. The Ryno lounge chairs were supplied in a consistent color scheme to assist staff monitoring and were weighted to prevent throwing. The rotationally molded one-piece design improved safety within the visits halls because unlike a conventional chair, there are no legs to detach and weaponize, and the chair cannot be easily lifted from the floor. Safety throughout the rest of the prison is helped too by the absence of concealment points which reduces contraband stashing. This single-piece construction creates an extremely strong and resilient chair which will require fewer replacements over time. The chairs were coupled with white Cumulus coffee tables which also deter misuse courtesy of their heavy-duty powder-coated steel base.
